Approvals stall, requests pile up and platform teams end up processing tickets instead of enabling data. Incorta's system-level workflows automate the many interactions that happen across your data catalog, so users get trusted access without the manual back and forth.
In this example, a user requests access to a catalog asset. Instead of Incorta's default owner-approval flow, the governance team has configured a custom framework: requests go to a preselected board of approvers, and every request and approval is logged to a database for future audits. Once published, the workflow runs automatically whenever the triggering Incorta event occurs.
The approver receives an email to accept or decline, the workflow grants access and logs each step to a MySQL database, and data governors can connect to that audit data to build a full report within minutes. It's one example of what a bespoke system workflow can automate across Incorta.
